Support Journalism That Connects the Beating Heart of the Ummah

Unforgettable Journeys

Our mission is to reconnect Muslims to the global Ummah through immersive learning journeys blending humanitarian missions and spiritual development.

The Programme

From transactional giving to meaningful transformational leadership.

Participants become long-term supporters and advocates for the Ummah, embedding mercy and justice in global communities. This should open for them the journey to becoming better leaders.

"For the first time in my life, I felt a deep connection to our brothers and sisters who gave me the honour to support them" - Participant
What makes us different?

connect with communities

Participants take part in the organisation and distribution of aid and cash gifts, but also meet and talk to the beneficiaries who share their stories making the giving more meaningful.

Connect with the land

A key highlight of the trip is visiting historical sites that have significance in history and scripture giving contextual understanding of the landscape.

Grow as individuals

A unique structured learning programme designed to uplift, spiritually energise hearts and minds. Although time spent is short the learnings will last a lifetime.

The Problem

Generous but Disconnected

British Muslims give more per capita than most faith communities. But generosity without connection creates distance — not transformation. Aid sent without witness stays a transaction.

Increase Network

Forgotten Ummah aims to nurture a shared sense of responsibility in sharing resources.

Return better individuals

Participants make a niyyah to grow in knowledge and understanding and become better ambassadors to their families and communities.

Stand witness to the ummah

We created a platform that offers an opportunity to respond to the challenges of the ummah faced by vulnerable families and children.

no poverty tourism

Our approach is rooted in respect, consent and amplifying voices without exploitation.

Taqwa & Amanah

God-conscious responsibility and trustworthy stewardship.

"Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock."
Bukhari & Muslim

Rahma and Khidma

Mercy and service as the default posture

We have sent you 'O Prophet' only as a mercy for the whole world.
Q 21:107

Shura and Justice

Consultative, fair decision-making

"O believers! Stand firm for justice as witnesses for Allah even if it is against yourselves..."
Q 4:135

Ihsan & Excellence

Excel in delivering.

"Allah has prescribed excellence in all things."
Sahih Muslim

Humility and Accountability

We rise by lifting others. We give with dignity and honour those who grant us the privilege of giving.

"They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend [in charity]. Say, “Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveller. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it"
Q 2:15
The Experience

Our Programme

Each programme is built around a daily rhythm of site visits, spiritual sessions, workshops, community exchange, and personal reflection. The mahram principle is observed throughout all programmes.

Take the helm of organising, packing, weighing and the spiritual ethics behind resource management.
